When LaMonica Love sees something is missing in the industry,  she creates it. LaMonica recognized there was a real-world need for minorities and women to have access to quality and affordable legal representation. She stepped in to fill that gap by founding The Love Law Group And Consulting Services, PLLC.  The Love Law Group provides top-notch legal services and business solutions to over 1,800 clients including start-ups, small/medium-sized businesses and Fortune 100 Companies. LaMonica is honored to share that 76% of the 1,800 clients served are minority-owned or women-led businesses. The Love Law Group also offers estate planning and probate services to assist clients in planning for and navigating some of life’s very difficult transitions. She works every day with individuals and businesses that aim to minimize the economic gaps for Houstonians LaMonica is a native Houstonian and previously worked as a corporate attorney and business management consultant. Her practice areas currently include estate planning and probate,  business planning and management, transactional real estate due diligence and purchases, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and formation and intellectual property. 

LaMonica has received many top honors including 2023 Florida A&M University’s 40 Under 40 Distinguished Young Alumni, 2021 Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, 2021 Cumberland School of Law – Distinguished Young Alumna Award, 2019 Top 30 Influential Women in Houston, and 2019 National Bar Association Top 40 Lawyers Under 40. LaMonica previously served as the first Black President of the Association of Women Attorneys – Houston (AWA) and is a graduate of the Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy.  She is a 2019 Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, a distinguished honor reserved for 1/3 of 1% of all attorneys in the State of Texas. LaMonica also shares expertise as a recurring contributor on Fox 26 Morning News discussing legal issues surrounding business, technology and social media.

LaMonica is also a graduate of the Project Blueprint Leadership Development Program through the  United Way of Greater Houston which is an intensive training on board service and governance for minorities. Through the United Way she has volunteered with THRIVE Family Stability Collaboration and the  Bi-Annual Community Reinvestment where she made recommendations on the allocation process of over 17 million dollars of donations from corporations and individuals to nonprofits in  Houston. In 2021, she initiated and currently chairs the Annual Florida A&M University Houston Alumni Scholarship Brunch, which has awarded over 35 scholarships to students in the Houston area in just two years. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. LaMonica serves as a board member of Hope of Harvest and She is a CEO, two non-profits focused on entrepreneurship and business development in Southeast Houston. LaMonica balances her business along with her family which includes her partner, Michael, a creative son Blake and spirited daughter  Blaire.
